Did you miss being able to be followed by your favorite Pokémon in the franchise? Niantic has understood this and offers you a brand new system in Pokémon GO! You can now select a creature to accompany you anywhere. To simplify: you not only see your character on the Map, but also your Buddy Pokémon following you.

This new feature is called Buddy Adventure.
What to do with the Buddy Adventure?
- Your Pokémon Buddy follows you on the game map
- Interact with the Pokémon Buddy in Augmented Reality to play with or feed him. This allows you to obtain new advantages.
- By completing linked quests, you can increase his level of happiness.
How does it work?
- After you have selected a Buddy Pokémon on your Profile (at the bottom left of the screen), you can click on him or her to take care of him or her.
- You will then see a level of friendship with your Pokémon, as with your friends: 4 hearts. Your objective? Fill them with different quests.
- You can play with him in Augmented Reality thanks to the "Play" option.
- You can give her treats (berries) by clicking on the Bay at the top right
- Every day, you can complete activities to increase your level of Happiness/Friendship:
- Walk together 2km
- Give a treat
- Play together
- Battle together
- Take a snapshot
- Visit a new place (pokestop)
How do I get my Pokémon to walk with me?
- Your Pokémon has to reach the Level 1 of Friendship.
- Go to the Game Shop to buy a Poffin. It costs 100 coins.
- By giving it to your Buddy Pokémon, it will appear on the screen next to you during 6 hours.
- You can also use Berries for a duration of 3 hours

A new shared AR mode will also be launched soon. It will allow up to 3 players (in AR+) to take a group photo with their Pokémon buddies.
