Money is of little value in the midst of the invasion, the people of Tsushima sell, or rather exchange goods and services for much-needed supplies and materials. Here's how to get a large amount of supplies thanks to the Inari charm, and thus improve weapons, armor and tools.

Ghost of Tsushima: Guide to farming supplies, resources and materials

One of the main factors limiting the upgrade of your equipment in Ghost of Tsushima is the amount of materials you own. It takes thousands of these to upgrade your weapons and armor, in addition to the other components. Getting enough of them is a long-term job. Here are a few tips to help you get more.

Ghost of Tsushima

Charm of Inari

The Inari charm you get at the Shinto Sanctuary of Azamo Prefecture, in the southeast of the first act, will quickly make a huge difference in many ways.

You can find it here:

This fantastic charm will more or less double the resources collected, such as bamboo, leather, skins and supplies. We suggest to keep it almost permanently equipped until you have upgraded all your equipment.

Don't forget that you can change charms while in battle.

Pick up everything

This advice sounds obvious but it has some subtleties:

  • Objects that can be picked up shine slightly, with a kind of reflection.
  • You can pick them up from your horse. When you come across corpses, rafts or other objects in the wild, there are often bags of supplies lying around. By pressing R2 quickly, you can pick them up.
  • Mongol camps are full of provisions, search each yurt and browse the shelves. The same goes for the houses and villages.
  • The Shinto Sanctuaries are often filled with provisions.
  • The offering altar of the Golden Temple and temples in other regions afterwards will be used to receive additional rewards from the people you have saved. They are marked with a gift icon, and a message will alert you when new offerings are available. This often includes 100 supplies per offering in addition to the rest.

Sell

You can sell goods you don't use to trappers in towns, villages and refugee camps. You can also buy certain goods from them with you supplies. The best supplied is Komatsu's.

The best things to sell are:

  • Bamboo: it's only used to upgrade bows, and you'll find tons of it. You might even reach the carrying limit, so don't hesitate.
  • Yew wood: not much rarer than bamboo, but sold at a much higher price.
  • Linen: be careful and don't sell too much if you plan to improve all your armors
  • Leather: for the same reasons.

Warning: Do NOT sell Iron or Predator Hides. You will really need them and their quantity is limited.
