Capture the Objective
An audio and visual cue tells the other team you’re capturing an objective. Prepare for battle!
Go prone or behind cover. Some objectives have less than others. Anticipate where the enemy will enter based on your team’s position, your route across the map, and the spawns, then aim down sights on that spot. If you’re in a long match you may even adapt to other player’s playstyles and know where to aim.
At least one enemy almost always appears. If they don’t, they’ll be there soon enough. If an enemy enters the objective while someone from your team is inside, it will be contested. Contested objectives cannot be captured until one team is gone. Hopefully, your team arrives to expedite the capture.
Don't immediately sprint to the next one. Stick around to defend the site. Never feel discouraged capturing objectives alone. It’s possible with the proper strategy and loadout.
Play the Objective
There will always be solo players who only care for kills and don’t play the objective. This is different than teammates tasked with continuously killing to keep players away and control the spawns because that involves teamwork and communication. If you don’t work with your team and just go for kills, you’re arguably in the wrong mode. A win is a win and a loss is a loss regardless of your KD.
Just like the Modern Warfare April Fools’ Day Domination playlist, you never want to hear “Bro, do you even cap?”
