Format

Unlike the LEC, Championship Points were removed for the LCS ahead of the 2020 season.

Instead, the Summer Playoffs will be the only way teams can qualify for the World Championship.

Regular Season

  • The Regular Season begins on February 5, 2021.
  • 10 teams take part
  • There are 6 weeks of competition across the Spring Split.
  • The format is round robin, with matches best-of-one.

Mid-Season Showdown

  • Six teams participate in the Mid-Season Showdown.
  • The top four make up the Winners' Bracket, with the fifth and sixth place teams in the Losers' Bracket,
  • Matches are all best-of-five, in a double elimination bracket.
  • The top seed plays the fourth seed in Round 1.
  • The #2 seed faces the #3 seed.
  • Seeds #5 and #6 face the losers of the first two matches.
  • The winner of the Mid-Season Showdown qualifies for the 2021 Mid-Season Invitational.

Prize Pool Details

  • 1st: $100,000
  • 2nd: $50,000
  • 3rd: $25,000
  • 4th: $25,000
