A gathering skill that will help you hunt down Wood and other key resources, here's all you need to know about Logging in Amazon's New World.

Logging is one of the Gathering Skills in Amazon's new MMO, New World.

It will help you seek out and obtain key resources that you can turn into Wood and other refined products, and requires you to equip a Logging Axe.

With plenty of trees in Aeternum, you shouldn't find yourself short when levelling your Crafting skills!

Is Logging for me?

If you're looking to increase your level in Weaponsmithing, Armoring, Engineering or Furnishing, then you're going to need a whole lot of Wood. This gathering skill turns you into a bit of an explorer as you hunt down rare woods.

To log a tree, press the interaction key (default E) when close to it. Be mindful to have a Logging Axe equipped, and make sure it isn't broken.

If you're running a build that requires Constitution, you'll get bonuses to your Logging ability. You'll get this for every 50 points you have in the stat.

  • 50 Constitution: +10% logging speed
  • 100 Constitution: -10% reduction on durability loss on tools
  • 150 Constitution: -10% decrease in weight of logged items
  • 200 Constitution: +10% logging speed
  • 250 Constitution: +10% yield when logging
  • 300 Constitution: 25% chance to chop down a tree in a single swing
