Build

Liandry's Anguish is a core item for many AP midlaners, offering damage, a burn for bonus damage, and crucially, plenty of mana.

Zhonya's Hourglass is the classic sustain tool for AP champions, preventing Anivia from surprise ganks.

A third core item is Archangel's Staff for even more mana sustain, with Morellonomicon a good option thereafter.

Gameplay

Anivia is a slow champion, and is easily caught out by ganks. However, you have plenty of CC and disengage tools, such as Crystallize, and incredible burst damage. Play patiently, zone your enemy, and lure them into a false sense of security when your team is preparing to gank.

  • Level 1 - Take Q - Flash Frost, for the zoning potential and area damage.
  • Level 2 - Take E - Frostbite, for more poke. If the enemy is Chilled from Flash Frost, they'll take more damage.
  • First Back - A Lost Chapter begins your path to Liandry's, and offers a sizeable amount of mana.

Tips & Tricks

  • Frostbite's damage is doubled if the enemy is Chilled from Flash Frost or Glacial Storm.
  • Your Rebirth passive is a good way to lure in an enemy if allies are nearby. It's also useful for tanking burst damage before your allies come in to clean up.
  • Crystallize can interrupt channeled spells and the likes of Teleport.
