Released in June 2013 The Last of Us Part 1 is above all an adventure game with a story taking an important place in your experience, but have you thought about recovering all the weapons in the game, improving them or even crafting them in general?

To craft an item from scrap materials, the player must have the necessary ingredients, open their backpack, and craft the item. Crafting allows you to obtain a useful item from several unworkable items, such as the Molotov cocktail which is created from rags and alcohol which have no use on their own.
List of craftable items in The Last of Us Part 1
Craft a quill:
To create a chisel you will need a blade and a link. The recipe is unlocked during the Quarantine Zone chapter.
Craft a medical kit:
You will need a cloth and alcohol and unlock the craft in the outskirts chapter.
Craft a Molotov cocktail:
You will need an alcohol wipe too, but not for the same purpose. The recipe is also unlocked in the Outskirts.
Craft a bomb:
It is in the chapter of the city of Bill that you will be able to unlock the bomb, in crafting one will cost you a blade and explosive.
Craft a smoke bomb:
Once you reach the Pittsburgh chapter, you will unlock the recipe that consumes explosive and sugar.
Craft a weapon upgrade:
You can also create upgrades for your weapons. The recipe is often the same since it uses the same components and is simply applied to the weapon you want to improve.
To make a melee weapon upgrade, for example, you will need to collect several ingredients:
- Recipe 1: A Link, a blade and the weapon of your choice

Recipe 2: A link, a blade, the weapon of your choice and a cloth.
Upgrading a melee weapon allows you to kill your enemies at the cost of the blade used, however, obtaining the training manuals allows you to further strengthen your weapons.
It is important to note that it is also possible for you to improve your ranged weapons and for example your rifles to make them more effective. To perform these upgrades you will need spare parts and workbenches hidden throughout the game, among these upgrades are:
- Quick Reload → Allows you to reload the weapon faster.
- Capacity → Allows the weapon to hold more rounds before needing to be reloaded.
- Scope → Adds a scope to the weapon.
- Pierce Armor: Allows you to penetrate your opponents' armor.
- Power → Weapons deal more damage.
- Range → Increases the range of your weapons (Arc).

Firepower → Allows you to charge your arrows faster (Arc).
