Disney Dreamlight Valley is finally released this Tuesday, September 6, 2022 in Early Access on all platforms. The opportunity for you to discover this magical world and restore it by finding lost Disney and Pixar characters. All means are good: whether it's exploring the open world by unlocking the passages of nocturnal thorns thanks to the Dreamlight, or going through the castle and its magic paintings. Today, we are going to focus on Merlin's quest to find a Waterfall, mushrooms and a heart of ice.
Final test quest to upgrade your Watering Can
By reaching Level 10 friendship with Merlin, you will unlock his newest quest called The Final Test . The magician will then want to concoct a powerful enchantment that will allow your watering can to eliminate Giant Mushrooms like those that block the two passages of the Bayou of Confidence .
For this, you will first have to go to Wall-E to ask him to crush night shards and make powder. Then you will have to find very rare materials:
- Waterfall
- Heart of ice

Mushrooms
While mushrooms are easy to obtain now that your Watering Can is upgraded to stage 1 (just water the small clusters of red mushrooms to get them), the Waterfall and Ice Heart are unique items. Here's how to get them.
Where to find the Waterfall?
In reality, you just have to collect water in a vial (no need to craft it). Several waterfalls are available in Dreamlight Valley but the one that interests us is at Bayou de la Confiance. If you haven't unlocked this area yet, it's the biome on the far left of your Map: you can access it via the Enchanted Beach or via the Tranquil Meadow.
- See you at the Bayou de la Confiance ,
- Go right next to the Pillar of Trust which is at the bottom left (you don't need to use the glitch to move the teleport well to the other side, everything is accessible in the first area).
- Locate the end of the river as shown on the map below,
- You will see small spangles at the edge of the water: click on the interaction button to pick up a vial of water from the waterfall.
How do I get a Heart of Ice?
The second complicated object to obtain in this quest is the heart of ice. Obtaining it is a bit more technical, but just listen to Merlin's instructions:
- Merlin gave you a seed during the quest,
- Plant this seed with your shovel as if you wanted to plant a vegetable seed,
- Water it and wait a few seconds: the plant will have grown!
- Once ready, harvest the heart of ice that has grown on the plant.
There you go, thanks to all these resources you can now concoct the improvement balm of the royal watering can and improve it. This will allow you to destroy the large clusters of red mushrooms that mostly block the passages of the Bayou de la Confiance.
