Disney Dreamlight Valley is finally released this Tuesday, September 6, 2022 in Early Access on all platforms. The opportunity for you to discover this magical world and restore it by finding lost Disney and Pixar characters. All means are good: whether it's exploring the open world by unlocking the passages of nocturnal thorns thanks to the Dreamlight, or going through the castle and its magic paintings. Today, we are going to focus on Moana.
Introducing Moana
It was in 2016 that the animated feature film Vaiana: The Legend of the End of the World was released. The plot of the film is freely inspired by figures from Polynesian mythology and takes us on an adventure with Moana and Maui who must do everything to restore the heart of the goddess before the islands rot for good. For his part, Maui is a demigod who had chosen to offer the famous heart to humans, which generated several problems afterwards.
Unlock Moana, her house and her rewards by friendship level
Moana is one of the characters that unlocks through the specific realm visit. For this you will have to go to the Castle of Dreams and choose to unlock the left door in order to arrive in the world of Moana and Maui.

Moana's house is to be placed and built after completing her first quest. You can then bring the princess of the seas home.
Below are the rewards Moana gives you at each friendship level. Level 10 is the maximum you can reach. Then, it will no longer be useless to make him gain experience, but it will always be more advantageous to take him to accompany you on an excursion since his bonuses will be higher.
Like any other character, Moana will offer you to follow Story quests to advance the scenario but also Friendship quests to raise her level. This is a very important character that can allow you to unlock:
- The fishing boat on the beach (allowing to catch fish automatically),
- Pua , the little pig companion that you can use.

Moana's first quest is the one allowing you to bring her back to your village. You will therefore have to unlock the middle door in the Castle of Dreams. There, you will have to help Moiana repair her canoe by finding materials directly on the new island: 8 wood that you will see directly on the sand, and 3 silk that you will have to find by digging in the shiny holes on the beach.
Give everything to Moana then go talk to Maui to trigger the following events.

Kingdom Quest 2
Once the quest with Maui is over, talk to Moana again, who is now on her canoe. She will show you a souvenir (a map of the oceans) and ask you to find a place to fish. Choose the coral reef to find a large torch to dispel the mist.
Then fish in the red circle to find an Albino Tuna (exclusive to this quest). Moana will now want to come to your kingdom and you can build her house by the water for 2000 coins.

Friendship Quest - Level 2
Talk to Moana and follow her down the beach to a shipwreck (not Dingo's Mysterious Wreck). Your objective will be to repair it with the following materials:
- 50 softwood
- 70 fiber (you will need seaweed)
- 3 pink hydrangea (on the enchanted beach)
With these materials, then craft the following items via your workbench:
- 3 rustic wooden box
- 3 baskets

4 strings
Then give the items to Moana to repair the fishing boat.

Friendship Quest 2 - Level 4
Moana will need help reconciling with Maui. You will have to prepare 3 dishes by following the correct recipes:
- Seafood salad: 1 lettuce + 1 seafood (clam, oyster, scallop etc.)
- Fruit salad: 1 fruit of your choice

Seafood platter: 2 seafood of your choice
Then bring the dishes to Maui. He will have to find another gift: a paddle. To do this, gather 10 softwood to craft it via your workbench in the "functional items" tab.
Then listen to Moana and Maui talk. If it bugs, restart the game and talk to Moana to restart the quest. Once the conversation is over, a leader shard will fall on the ground and you will have to pick it up.
The rediscovered memory
Friendship Quest 3 - Level 6
Go to Moana's house and remove the nocturnal thorns that have settled there. In one of them, you will find a souvenir that shows flowers. Go to the Forest of Courage to collect 10 flowers (any) and give them to Moana. This will free up another memory to look at.
Go talk to Maui who will give yet another souvenir. Go back to the forest to pick up 6 blueberries (2 bushes are enough). The fourth and last memory can then be examined: it is Pua, Moana's little pig!
Collect 3 coconuts on the enchanted beach then recover the shard of leader deposited on the ground. The next quest will allow you to find Pua.
Looking for Pua
Friendship Quest 4 - Level 8
Talk to Moana and follow her to her fishing boat. She will explain to you that the little pig is probably in the Tranquil Prairie: go there, not far from the pond of the large stairs and you will see yellow footprints on the ground. You will then have to go not far from the Chez Rémy restaurant to find leftover food.
Now go to the Forest of Courage to find a cluster of nocturnal thorns and free the pig. Collect the leader shard on the ground and give it to Moana. It's not very clear but at the end of this quest you will get Pua, the little pig, as a companion. Open your wardrobe so you can use it to follow you!
Ceremony
Friendship Quest 5 - Level 10
You will need to craft an altar with the following materials:
- 50 stone
- 10 iron ingot

3 red seashells from the Kingdom of Moana (found on the sand)
Craft the altar via your workbench in the "furniture" tab then place it near your house.
Put the leader shards in the altar and take a photo of the group.
