Our guide to Tailoring in World of Warcraft: Classic will allow you to quickly level from 1 to 300. Tailoring is a key Profession for casters (cloth users), find out all you need to know below!
Tailoring is one of 12 professions in World of Warcraft Classic. The easiest way to start learning Tailoring is to simply talk to a guard in any capital city. They will give you directions to a Tailoring Trainer who will help you get started.
It is important to note that you can only train your Tailoring skill with tailors corresponding to your skill level.
In addition, taking Tailoring with Enchantment will allow your job Profession choices to be of benefit to each other.
Why Choose Tailoring?
As a Tailor, you will be able to create cloth equipment, so the choice to learn Tailoring depends on if your Class primarily uses cloth armour. Here are a list of Classes that benefit the most from being Tailors:
Mage: Tailoring lets you create equipment which will serve you well in both PvP and PvE: Robe of the Archmage & Belt of the Archmage
Priest: Tailoring lets you craft equipment which will come in handy against players and creatures alike: Truefaith Vestments & Mooncloth Circlet
Warlock: Tailoring lets you craft great gear for use in PvP and PvE: Robe of the Void & Felcloth Gloves

Tailoring Material Locations
Unlike how Skinning is a pre-requisite for Leatherworking, you don't need a gathering skill to collect cloth in Classic. However, you will be able to find scraps of cloth pretty much anywhere, be it from humanoid mobs or in dungeons — take your pick! Here is a list of items you can gather at each level alongside their location, dependant on your faction.
