Enchanting is one of 12 professions in World of Warcraft Classic. The easiest way to start learning Enchanting is to simply talk to a guard in any capital city. They will give you directions to an Enchanting Trainer who will help you get started.
It is important to note that you can only train your Enchanting skill with Enchanters corresponding with your skill level.
It is also a good idea to combine Enchanting with Tailoing, as the latter provides easy access to disenchantable gear.
Why Choose Enchanting?
Enchanting is not for everyone. Here is a list of classes that benefit from this choice of profession.
- Mage: Enchanting lets you enchant items items which will be useful for your specs, such as Formula: Enchant Weapon - Spellpower or Formula: Enchant Gloves - Frost Power.
- Priest: Enchanting will allow you enchant gear which will help your healing and shadow damage, with enchantments such as Formula: Enchant Weapon - Healing Power or Formula: Enchant Gloves - Shadow Power.
- Warlock: Enchanting will let you enchant gear with useful enchantments that, similarly to a Mage, will help your specialisations, such as Formula: Enchant Gloves - Shadow Power and Formula: Enchant Weapon - Spellpower.

Enchanting Material
As an Enchanter, you can disenchant items, turning them into material you can use in your recipes. These include items such as Weapons, Armour, and countless other objects.
Here is a list of the different materials you can get from disenchanting.
Dust
You can gather dust by disenchanting armour. This is very useful if you are also a Tailor, as the dust you get from disenchanting can be used in certain specific recipes.
Essence
You can get Essence by disenchanting Weapons.
