- The enemies have more life, and they will hurt more. You will notice that many types of enemies have a second life bar, in the form of armor or shield, some even have a third bar. There will be more badass and anointed monsters. The game will therefore be more difficult overall, and things are going to blow up (often literally).
- The loot is generally of better quality, they will have both a higher score and a greater chance of being of higher quality or legendary. Vault monsters will also be more common.
- An experience bonus is applied in this game mode, so you will reach level 50 faster if you don't have it yet, and then you will raise your Guardian levels faster. These levels are of course kept in this game mode.
- All primary and secondary quests are reset, but strangely enough, Crew Challenges are not. At least it will give you another opportunity to pick up the pieces of ClapTrap and others without coming back on a map specifically for this purpose.
