Death Stranding and its mysteries... Discover the few information available about the DOOMs and the game opening message about your birthday.

Death Stranding Guide: DOOMs levels, delphinus, cetus, gigas and the role of your birthday

When you start your game, Death Stranding will eventually ask you for your birthday. In addition to putting a nice birthday cake in your private room on the right date, the game will tell you before you start that higher DOOM levels have been found in people with cancer, fish, delphinus, cetus and gigas zodiac signs. What are the last three, and most importantly, does a higher level of DOOMs have any impact on the gameplay of the game?

DOOMs

The DOOMs is a power that only a few particular people have in the world of Death Stranding. It allows them to better perceive the world on the other side. At the beginning of the game, Fragile tells Sam that he is level 2, because he can only see the BTs. Those with higher levels have a better affinity and control over their Beach, a metaphysical space present in each person and whose form changes according to their psyche.

Birthday and theories

For now, the cestus, delphinus and gigas listed at the beginning of the game have not been clearly defined but the community will probably continue to read and explore the game world to solve this puzzle. However, some leads have already been found and Norman Reedus' birthday would fall under the sign of the Gigas, for example. For us, a level of DOOMs can only impact one thing: your ability to see the BTs and how long they remain visible after a scan of your Bridge Baby.

This article will be updated when there's new information on the subject. In the meantime, here are the birthdays for which there are matches to the DOOMs:

  • Cancer: 21/06 to 22/07
  • Fish: 20/02 to 20/03
  • Cetus: Unknown
  • Delphinus: Unknown
  • Gigas: Unknown, except 06/01 and probably all of January.
