On FIFA 20, EA Sports has introduced a new way to allow players to acquire Icon cards easier. Find out how the first Icon Swaps work, the potential rewards and how to unlock player tokens.
FUT Swap has now been existence for two seasons and allows Ultimate Team players to retrieve untradable cards by completing Squad Building Challenges (SBCs)
The Concept
23 Icons or a "basic Icon guaranteed" pack can be earned from October 11th all the way to December. To obtain there rewards, you'll need to earn player tokens that you can earn through completing a number of objectives and SBCs that are related to the Icon Swap event. 24 tokens are available - 12 for season one and another 12 for season two.
Each of the players available have a specific number of tokens in order to be redeemed. It won't be possible to unlock all the Icons so choose one or two that will suit your team.

The first 12 player tokens are available to collect through completing certain objectives and through SBCs. The second wave of tokens went live on November 11th and will be available until the end of Icon Swaps 1 in December.

Other Information
- Icon Swaps will allow you to get these icons before they are released into packs.
- Each Icon Swap will contain at least 20 players (Untradable)
- The player tokens can also be used to get a guaranteed icon pack during Icon Swaps.
- Each Icon Swap period will include different versions of icons.
- If an Icon has already been a part of Swaps, then no other version of that player is available during that period.
- The tokens obtained during an Icon Swaps period can only be used for that period and not for future Icon Swaps.
- Each Icon will require a certain amount of tokens to be acquired.
