Here is a little tip to quickly get many Evolution Stones in Pokémon Sword and Shield.

Pokemon Sword, Shield: How to obtain Evolution Stones

Another guide for Pokémon Sword and Shield. This time, we are speaking about Evolution Stones in the game and their locations.

Read this article to get an overview of the location of Evolution Stones in this game. This will be essential to evolve your Roselia, Growlithe or Eevee, and many other Pokémon.

Evolution Stones

Since the first generation of Pokémon, some Pokémon have required the activation of an Evolution Stone to evolve. These are present in all Pokémon games and the list has grown with the emergence of new generations. Here is the list of all the evolutionary stones present in Pokémon Sword and Shield:

  • Fire Stone
  • Water Stone
  • Thunder Stone
  • Leaf Stone
  • Moon Stone
  • Sun Stone
  • Dusk Stone
  • Dawn Stone
  • Ice Stone
  • Shiny Stone

There are several places to find Evolution Stones in Pokémon Sword and Shield, here are some good examples:

In the Wild Area

The circle of stones

To reach the place in question, follow these steps and use the screenshots below:

  • Take a flying taxi to Hammerlocke.
  • Exit on the Wild Area, and you'll arrive on the Hammerlocke Hills.
  • Continue to the right to reach the Giant"s Cap.
  • Advance to the water and cross Lake of Outrage thanks to your Bike.
  • On the other side, you will find some kind of giant menhirs in a circle.
  • Behind each stone in the circle, there is an Evolution Stone.

Stones present there: Ice - Leaf - Water - Thunder - Fire - Shiny - Dusk - Dawn.

It's the best source of Evolution Stones in the game. Eight at a time, a nice catch! But the best part is, they can respawn from time to time!

Search everywhere!

There are several Evolution Stones hidden in the Wild Area. Search the nooks and crannies for Poké Balls and find them all!

The Digging Brothers

If you go to the Wild Area Day Care, you will cross the Digging Brothers.

These two friendly NPCs will offer you to dig for you, for the modest amount of 500 W. This may bring you various items. In the potential items, there are the Evolution Stones present in the game. This is therefore an infinite source of Evolution Stones, if you are lucky (and rich in Watts).

Pokémon Sword and Shield

During the adventure (outside of Wild Area)

You will come across some Evolution Stones during your adventure. These will be hidden in Poké Balls, directly on the ground. We invite you to look at our complete game walkthrough to find out the exact location of the Evolution Stones during the main plot. Otherwise, here is a list of the stones you will find on the way (in the order of their encounters):

  • Water Stone, on Route 2
  • Leaf Stone, in Turffield
  • Dawn Stone, behind the Pokémon Centre in Stow-on-Side
  • Shiny Stone, on Route 8
  • Ice Stone, on Route 9

There are probably others!

Pokémon Sword and Shield

There are therefore several ways to obtain Evolution Stones, enough to complete your Pokédex as it should be. You will find the same stone several times and in the worst case, the Digging Brothers will be able to provide you with it over and over again, all you have to do is be patient or lucky!

Pokemon Sword, Shield: How to obtain Pincurchin

A rare 8th generation Pokémon, Pincurchin may give you a hard time catching it. Here's where to find it in Pokémon Sword and Shield.
