There are plenty of new features in this Sword and Shield Pokémon, which is why some players get a little lost. We guide you for everything about Watts with this article. This kind of energy that serves as currency will soon have no secrets for you.
Watts
It's a kind of energy present in the Galar region. It's presented in the form of multiple entities called Watts. You can collect the Watts in various ways and use them in several areas.
Watts are very much linked to the Wild Area. They never appear 'physically' in the game, they are simply represented by the letter 'W' and serve only as a currency of exchange.
With Watts, you can improve the speed of your bike, buy different items, have access to the service of some NPCs.
You will find Watts on Pokémon coves in the wilderness and you will also find Watts on some Pokémon that are out there.
How does it work?
To use Watts, you will first need to obtain them. There are three ways to do this:
Pokémon's caves
In order to collect Watts, approach the Pokémon caves which are shiny and red. If the latter are empty, they will give you 50 W, or 200 W after beating Leon the master. If these antres are full, i. e. there is a large laser coming out of them, it means that you can collect Watts, before you do the present Max Raid Battle. 300 W for full antres, 2000 W if you beat Leon the master.
So you understand that it's more profitable to farm the Watts over the hills, once you have finished the game. Note that the Watts present on the antres reset every day, so you can make a big harvest per day.
What's the yellow aura?
The second way to find Watts is to defeat some Pokémon. You've probably seen Pokémon wandering in the tall grass with a yellow aura around them. These Pokémon are Brillant Pokémon, you just have to defeat them to recover a few Watts between 150 W and 400 W.
Bike Racing
Available from the same NPCs that have the Watts shop, you must participate in the Moti-Rally! You will then have to travel through the wilderness on your bike. Follow the checkpoints and reach the finish before the time runs out, it's pretty simple. This will bring you up to 400 W for the longest stroke available.
What can I do with Watts?
The easiest way to do many things is to list them for you:
- Improve the speed of your bike with the Macro Cosmos NPCs near the Wild Area entrances (see capture below). At the beginning it will cost 1000 W then 3000 W and so on.
- Buy various items in the Watts shop, from the NPCs.
- Use the services of the Digging Brothers, who search the ground for you, in search of random items that are sometimes very useful. It takes 500 W per search.
- Offer you the services of various NPCs in the Wild Area: a fisherman, a kind of adventurer, etc... They will find objects for you if you agree to give them a few Watts in exchange (100 W at the beginning and a little more afterwards).
The most important one will be the Watts shop because you will find some Wish Pieces there. These are used to make raids appear.
