Update — The patch notes is now available you can check it here:
This new patch will bring the new Ishgardian Restoration to Final Fantasy XIV. It also introduces the fearsome bazooka and a new emote, hairstyle and mounts!
As announced on the Lodestone, the servers will be down for 5.21 maintenance between 9PM on March 9 and 3AM on March 10 (PDT).
Yesterday, Square Enix updated the official Patch 5.2 — Echo of a Fallen Star website with news concerning Eden's Verse, as well as the Ishgardian Restoration. It's a long-awaited update that should bring a fresh feeling to gathering professions.
This update adds new screenshots of the upcoming gathering overhaul.
The FFXIV staff had already teased a new giraffe mount during a Developer's Live Letter earlier this year, but it is now a sheep mount that has appeared on the website and which is expected to arrive with Patch 5.21.
The Lalafell riding the sheep in the screenshot wears the same hat that the Kupo of Fortune attendant displayed in a previous picture — could this new mount be acquired via the lottery mechanic?
Patch 5.21 is the second in the 5.X series of Shadowbringers patches, and focuses on gatherers with a new zone and mechanics. The upcoming Patch 5.25 will, on the other hand, introduce the new "Resistance Weapon" relic series.
