The next Hearthstone Masters Tour of this weekend promises to have a special flavor. Scheduled to be organized in Bali, it was moved for the first time to Los Angeles, because of the coronavirus outbreak, before being finally kept fully online.

Nearly 300 players are expected to participate in this tournament, coming from nearly 40 countries around the world.

The tournament will be held on Youtube, like all the others from this year, and will take place from March 20 to 22 in order to win part of the cash prize of $ 3,000,000 in 2020. Crowdfunding has also taken place before the first Masters Tour Los Angeles, allowing to increase the total price this year.

Players will be able to use Kael'Thas, the new legendary card from the first expansion of the Year of the Phoenix, Ashes of Outland.

No cast

Like many things in recent times, the cast of the Masters Tour will not take place.. Matches cannot be streamed, but players can post their matches on YouTube at the end of the day.

Format

For this Masters Tour, 4 decks will be brought by players who will play a Bo5 in Conquest format. A deck will be banned by each player. A result of at least 7-2 will automatically qualify you for the Jönkoping Masters Tour and the next Masters Tour (not yet announced).

First day: 5 Swiss rounds
Second day: players with 3 or more wins will make 4 additional rounds.
Third day: the top 8 advance in a knockout tournament which will decide the winner!
