Blizzard has just announced that a Hearthstone online tournament will be held to celebrate the release of Ashes of Outland: the Outland Inn-vitational!
The event will take place on April 21, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. PT, in the presence of Grandmasters and streamers invited by Blizzard. All of these players will compete for a chance to take home their share of the 100,000$ that are at stake.
This event used a rather new format, the Demon Hunter Duel-fest:
- 20 players were split into two teams that will compete against each other through four BO3 matches.
- Each player represented one of the ten classes and will play the same class in every match.
- On Rounds 2 and 4, one full team play as the Demon Hunter.
- The winner of each best-of-three match will earn points for their team.
- Winning a match earns a team 2 points.
- At the end of four rounds, the team with the highest point total wins.
Obviously, the team that has collected the most points after the four rounds will be declared the winner! Each victorious guest will leave with the sum of $ 6,500, while the defeated will settle for $ 3,500. Moreover, the three best performing players during the evening will receive a bonus of $1000!
To allow you to follow this tournament, all the guests will cast their own point of view on Twitch and Youtube.
