Ghost of Tsushima gets dedicated State of Play on Thursday

Get ready to tune on on Thursday, for a special State of Play that will show off the upcoming epic samurai adventure Ghost of Tsushima.

It's been quite a while since we last heard from Sucker Punch, with an extended trailer being shown at December's Game Awards alongside a live orchestral performance. Other than that, there's been little to go on since the game was initially announced way back in 2017.

Ghost of Tsushima will see you play the role of Jin Sakai, and puts you right in the middle of the real-life Mongol invasion of Japan in 1274. Your task is to repel the invaders and protect your home island of Tsushima from certain destruction. According to the official website, you'll need to move beyond your samurai traditions to forge a new way of fighting — the way of the Ghost.

While we still remain puzzled as to what we actually do in the game, one thing is for sure — Ghost of Tsushima promises to be one very beautiful game, as these screens prove.

The Last of Us 2 and Ghost of Tsushima new release dates revealed

It's now established: The Last of Us 2 will be a little more than a month late with a new release date which should still reassure fans. Ghost of Tsushima, will be available a month later.
