Valorant is the brand new free-to-play game from Riot Games, officially released a week ago. This tactical FPS offers players a system of cosmetics so they can personalize their playing experience. However, in Valorant access to cosmetics is reserved for a minority of players at the moment, since they require spending real money.
Recently, a player posted on Reddit his impressions of this system - which naturally he finds unfair. He wants a fairer system, one which above all rewards deserving players. According to him, there should be a system similar to that in CS:GO and Call of Duty, where players are rewarded for challenges such as making a certain number of eliminations in a single game.
His post caught the eye of a developer on Valorant, tehleach, who commented.
"Thanks for the feedback! I understand you and I promise we are working on other systems to reward the most deserving players, which we could not do before launch. We have a few ideas in mind to reward the mastery of an agent or the time invested," they said.
No other information has yet been released, but it is likely that this future system will be implemented in a future update.
