Thanks to Special Research, the Mythical Psychic and Grass-type Pokémon Celebi has been available since August 20, 2018.
Like Mew, this fabulous Pokémon can only be captured if several quests are completed.
Don't worry if you haven't yet obtained Mew — it will still be possible for you to start 'A Ripple in Time', as long as you have reached the third stage of the 'A Mythical Discovery' chain of quests for Mew.
Also, missions do not disappear, so you complete them at your own pace.
Stage 1
Tasks:
- Power up Pokémon 5 times (1000 XP)
- Battle in a Gym 2 times (1000 XP)
- Battle in a Raid (1000 XP)

Stage 4
Tasks:
- Walk 10 km with Eevee as your Buddy to earn Candy (2500 XP)
- Evolve Eevee into Espeon during the day (2500 XP)
- Send 20 Gifts to friends (2500 XP)

Stage 5
Tasks:
- Walk 10 km with Eevee as your Buddy to earn Candy (3000 XP)
- Evolve Eevee into Umbreon at night (3000 XP)

Stage 6
Tasks:
- Visit PokéStops 7 days in a row (3500 XP)
- Use 25 Pinap Berries while catching Pokémon (3500 XP)
- Use items to evolve Pokémon 2 times (3500 XP)
Rewards:
- 3500 Stardust
- 1 Dragon Scale
- 5 Silver Pinap Berry
Stage 7
Tasks:
- Catch 40 Grass or Psychic-type Pokémon (4000 XP)
- Make an Excellent Curveball Throw (4000 XP)
- Earn a gold Johto medal (4000 XP)
Rewards:
- Celebi encounter
- 1 Charged TM
- 10 Silver Pinap Berry
Stage 8
Tasks:
- Claim Reward (4500 XP)
