Valorant keeps attracting more organizations even though its competitive scene isn't even tangible yet. However, the future certainly looks bright...
Several of the biggest and most renowned North American organizations — such as Cloud9, TSM or Immortals — already announced they'll be part of the adventure.
Famous for their Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and their former domination of the Call of Duty franchise, FaZe Clan also embarked on the journey by recruiting a first player, Jason "JasonR" Ruchelski.
FaZe enters Valorant signing a captain
JasonR is a former professional player of CS: GO, who previously played for Splyce and OpTic Gaming without really shining.
Inactive since 2017, he reconverted himself into streaming, and played a lot of Valorant since the early beta. With more than 745,000 followers on Twitch and over 35 million views, he had the opportunity to show the extent of his talent to the community while convincing FaZe Clan to trust him.
A second recruit for the price of one
In the process, FaZe Clan also announced they had signed Corey "Corey" Nigra, a former Overwatch pro player who won the 2019 World Cup alongside the United States team.
It remains to be seen if FaZe Clan will manage to translate their experience from other FPS and shooter competitive scene to Valorant...
