Format
The tournament is played in two parts, one being dedicated to Battlegrounds, and the other one to the Standard Mode.
Battlegrounds
- The 8 teams are divided into two groups, which will play a total of 6 rounds.
- Each round, two players from each team will be present.
- The top 2 teams earning the most points based on individual performances of their members will continue to the playoffs.
- The Playoffs will consist of 3 rounds of Battlegrounds, after which the champion will be crowned.
Standard Mode
- All matches will be in Standard mode
- Each team brings 10 decks, one for each class
- 4 decks can be banned
- The matches are played in Bo5 with a Last Hero Standing format.
Schedule
The tournament runs from July 27 to August 2, and matches will start at the same time every day. Each day will start with Battlegrounds, and end with Standard Mode! You can watch it on the Heartstone esports international youtube channel!
Participants
11 teams take part in this event, with between 3 and 5 players each. The four invited teams take part in both tournaments, while the majority of Chinese teams will only be present on one of them.
