LoL: CLG parts way with coaches SSONG and Weldon

After a disastrous Summer Split that ended on the edge of qualifying for Playoffs, the LCS organization decided to replace both its Head Coach and its League of Legends Division Coach.

LoL: CLG parts way with coaches SSONG and Weldon

CLG are a shadow of their former selves. Once one of the greatest organization of the League of Legends competitive scene, with two iconic teams on both sides of the Atlantic, they're now relegated to the status of a low-tier team, just capable of stagnating in the bottom of the LCS Standings.

Although they seemed back on track during the 2019 Summer Split, CLG just achieved one of the worst seasons of their history. The roster needed some changes, and the organization decided to part ways with Weldon "Weldon" Green and Kim "SSONG" Sang-soo.

Strongly criticized on social networks, CLG's coaching team has been pointed by many as the reason why the LCS roster performed so poorly, not only this split but rather for the entire reason. The departure of Crown in March, as well as the numerous roster shuffles, led the team in really bad shape, that partially explains their 5-13 record at the end of this split, and their 9th and 10th rank finishers at the end of the season.

It remains to be seen who'll step in as replacements for Weldon and SSONG, as CLG didn't communicate yet about the subject. In any case, given the fact they didn't qualify for LCS Playoffs, their season already ended last week — and they'll have plenty of time to properly fill the gap before the next one begins...
