In a move that is great news for streamers on the platform, Facebook Gaming have announced they won't claim their usual 30% cut when fans subscribe to their favourites.

Facebook Gaming will no longer charge fees on subscriptions

In a tweet released on Monday, Josh Maresca, Facebook's Partnerships Manager for NA Gaming Creators, revealed the move to stop charging the usual 30% cut.

"Some of you have already noticed the changes we have made regarding supporter revenue. Starting Aug 2020, and for the next year, Facebook will not be taking any fees from fan subs."

It's a bold move for Facebook, and one designed specifically to entice streamers in the post-Mixer age. On Twitch the fees taken from subscriptions can range from 30 to 50%.
