Microsoft has just dropped another bombshell, one that solidifies the idea that Game Pass is the future of video games.
They have reached an agreement with Electronic Arts for Xbox Game Pass subscribers to have access to the EA Play game catalogue, at no additional cost.
EA Play is the equivalent of Game Pass, but only for games from Electronic Arts. What this means is that more than 60 games will join the Game Pass roster.
Additionally, several games from EA Play will be available for cloud-based play, which will be activated for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate users starting September 15.
All the benefits of EA Play carry over to Xbox Game Pass as well:
- Early access to the most anticipated releases (including FIFA 21) for 10 hours.
- Exclusive challenges, rewards and discounts on EA games.
The list of games on EA Play includes some massive hits:
- Rocket Arena
- NFS Heat
- Plants vs Zombies
- FIFA, NHL & Madden 20
- Sea of Solitude
- A Way Out
- Anthem
- Battlefield V
- Burnout Paradise Remastered
