Mark your calendar! The biggest Hearthstone tournament in the world will take place online, and will bring together 8 exceptional players from all corners of the world.
Two groups of four players will compete in the double elimination group stage until the best eight players emerge. They will then play in a direct elimination round. All the duels will be in Conquest format with one class ruled out.
The 8 best players of the 2020 GrandMasters Season 1 and 2 will compete online to determine the best player in the world. To these 6 players will be added two players from the Gold Series tournaments in China. If a player is unavailable or disqualified, the runner-up in their region's Playoffs will then be selected.
Silvername (Europe), bloodyface (Americas) and glory (APAC) already qualified during the Grandmasters Season 1. The Grandmasters second season is still in full swing, and we'll have to wait a while before we know who qualifies.
Format and schedule
The 8 players will be divided into two groups from December 12 to 14 . Group stages will first take place in double elimination, then in Bo5.

Players who leave their group with a 2 - 1 result will be matched with those in the other group with a 2 - 0 result.
World Championship
Day 1
- The first day of the championship will begin on December 12 at 5:00 p.m. (CEST) and should end on December 13 at 3:00 a.m.
Day 2
- The second day of the championship will begin on December 13 at 5:00 p.m. (CEST) and should end on December 14 at 1:00 a.m.
