Ahead of the Black Ops Cold War beta, developers Treyarch has offered a glimpse at brand-new multiplayer map Cartel.
Set in the scorching jungles of Nicaragua, players will storm the grounds of an isolated cartel complex where a known associate of Perseus operated in the shadows in Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War.
“We built Cartel around the idea of an 'open' environment - a way that offers very high risk versus reward. We wanted players to feel like they could “own” that part of the map by using the plants, sneaking between them, and truly becoming a hunter. We've definitely created enough space for the variety and styles of players to flourish," says Treyarch Creative Specialist, Miles Leslie
This map will be available in 6v6 and 12v12 game modes during the two beta weekends on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
Whether in the resort or on the edge of a forest, this map offers a variety of attacking options that will suit any style of play. It was also revealed that the Crossroads and Armada maps will offer a 6v6 version at the launch scheduled for November 13th.
Note also that the beta will be available from October 8th for people who have pre-ordered a digital edition of the game on PS4. The beta will only be available from October 10th for PS4 players who have not purchased the game or for those who have pre-ordered a physical version.
Downloads are already available for Early Access, so don't delay too long to be able to enjoy the beta experience as soon as possible.
