Update: Nov. 17 at 1:00 CET — Rogue have confirmed that they have signed Andrei "Odoamne" Pascu and Adrian "Trymbi" Trybus to the lineup, scoring a significant top lane signing and an intriguing support promotion to the main lineup.

Rogue's League of Legends European Championship (LEC) roster is reportedly changing as their academy support, Adrian "Trymbi" Trybus, and Schalke 04 Esports' top laner, Andrei "Odoamne" Pascu, are set to join the lineup. ESPN Esports' Jacob Wolf first reported on the possible roster change, which would leave Finn "Finn" Wiestål and Oskar "VandeR" Bogdan out of their LEC lineup.

The news could have a massive impact on the LEC landscape as Odoamne was the top free agent among top laners including Barney "Alphari" Morris, who is reportedly heading to North America. Indeed, with Rogue strengthening their top lane and gaining flexibility across the board, they have upgraded beyond their past state, which pushed G2 Esports into a five-game series in the 2020 summer semifinals.

Odoamne's departure from Schalke 04 Esports would also weaken the team significantly should they fail to find a suitable replacement. However, S04's roster already has solid building blocks with Berk "Gilius" Demir and Felix "Abbedagge" Braun. Even then, finding a player of Odoamne's caliber will prove tricky at best as his toughest competition, Paul "sOAZ" Boyer, has contemplated a break after two disappointing seasons in a row.

As for the support position, Trymbi's promotion from AGO Rogue to the LEC lineup would be surprising given Oskar "VandeR" Bogdan's performance in 2020. However, the player showed promise in the Ultraliga and at the 2020 European Masters summer edition, with his playmaking prowess standing a cut above the competition.

Should VandeR become a free agent, and should teams account for him before finalizing their rosters, his availability will cause another chain reaction at the support position - especially as his former teammate, Elias "Upset" Lipp, could be called to select a lane partner.
