PCS3 North America continued on Day 2, with the top teams attempting to make big moves in the final major PUBG tournament of 2020.
The day clearly belonged to Soniqs, who secured two of the four matches to build a significant lead at the top of the standings.
PCS3 NA — Match 5 Results
Day 2 kicked off with a win for Soniqs, the PCS1 champions. Their tally of 16 points was enough to win by three from Fabled and build on their overnight second place overall, with Illusion coming in third.
Fabled's hellaaaaaa, formerly of the all-female Pittsburgh Knights offshoot Dames of PUBG, led the kill charts from One Eye Open's P4TRONTV, Duel's Woo1y, and The Rumblers pair Miccoy and Waldoe.
PCS3 NA — Match 6 Results
Guadalajara Gascans scored a huge win in Match 6, securing 15 kills and the chicken dinner to boost their tally by a sizeable 25 points. With New Zealander Nicoos leading the frag chart with 8 and the damage chart with a mammoth 1105.86, the team even managed to secure a kill through a gas can explosion!
Houston Hardshifts put in another decent performance to end in second, while Soniqs continued their typically consistent tournament with a third place.
PCS3 NA — Match 7 Results
Another comfortable dinner was won by Soniqs, securing ten frags to go alongside their ten placement points.
Guadalajara Gascans took second, with Oath managing another podium finish, yet both teams lacked kills — meaning the gap to Soniqs in first only widens.
It was a match in which no player truly stood out in the frag charts, with Soniqs' Asutralian player TGLTN topping out on four alongside Shoot to Kill's aLOW, Tactical8's Weum00 and his teammate Zealot.
PCS3 NA — Match 8 Results
The final match of the day was a scrappy affair — no team managed double-digit kills, nor did any break the 20-point mark.
It was Fabled who secured a first dinner of the tournament with an 18-point haul, edging out Dodge. Oath secured yet another podium with a seven-kill third place.
Again it was a game of low individual dominance, Fabled's Haxete and Soniqs' Shrimzy sharing the spoils at the top of the kill chart. Haxete did dominate the damage charts, however, with a 170+ difference on his rival.
PCS3 NA Standings — Day 2
With a lead of 32 points after just one third of the competition, it's hard to see past Soniqs for the overall win at this moment. They scored an absolutely enormous 51 points on Day 2, far ahead of any of the chasing pack.
Day 1 leaders Veritas are hanging in there in second place, but they secured just 11 points in total on Day 2, and will need to step up their game when play resumes next week. The same could be said for Oath and Duel, who retained their third and fourth places respectively.
The PCS3 NA action resumes next week. Make sure to check out our guide for more info and where to watch!
