The 12 Days of Friendship event kicks off today on Pokémon GO and will give you the best possible preparation for the upcoming GO Beyond update.

The GO Beyond update allows you to increase the max level from 40 to 50. This event is a help for all players who are not yet level 40:
- You'll jump from one Friendship Level to another faster than usual by opening Gifts, trading Pokémon, or fighting together in Raids, Arenas, or Trainer Battles!
- You will receive an attack boost by fighting in raids with friends. Don't forget to get a Remote Raid Pass in the Shop to go raiding with friends, wherever you are!
- You will earn additional XP for completing raids.
- You will be able to open more Gifts each day.
Plus, you'll earn double the XP for catching Pokémon, from Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at 10:00 p.m. to Thursday, December 31, 2020 at 10:00 p.m.
Obtain the Legacy 40 medal
If you reach level 40 before Thursday, December 31, 2020 11:59 p.m., you will receive incredible rewards, like the Legacy 40 Medal and the Timed Research which will allow you to earn a Gyarados Hat for your avatar!
