Treyarch and Activision have revealed that the start of Season One for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has been delayed.
The first season of post-launch content was meant to begin on December 10th, but has been pushed back until December 16th.
It is unclear as to why the new season has been delayed, but the announcement will come as a disappointment to fans eagerly awaiting new content to drop.

Free Warzone Content
According to the Call of Duty Blog, a brand-new map and game mode will be available in Warzone when the new season launches.
New blueprint variants and the entire Black Ops Cold War weapon arsenal will also be added into the battle royale.
Alongside the new map, there will also be a new Gulag experience, all but confirming the return of Alcatraz.
Black Ops Cold War Content
Season One is set to contain a huge amount of content for Black Ops Cold War multiplayer.
2v2 Gunfight returns to Call of Duty along with four brand-new maps, new 6v6 modes and playlists and a brand-new Fireteam map.
It has also been revealed that iconic Black Ops 2 map Raid will be returning to the franchise when the new season launches.
New weapons are also being added to the arsenal alongside new Zombies modes, new Season Challenges, and the new Seasonal Prestige system that links Black Ops Cold War, Warzone, and Modern Warfare together.
Double XP and Double Weapon XP
For those that have yet to reach Level 100 and want to level up their weapons quickly, Treyarch will be activating Double XP and Double Weapon XP from December 12th until the launch of Season One on December 16th.
Free Bundles
Before the launch of the new season, there will be two free cosmetic bundles for players to obtain. The "Field Research" and "Certified" bundle contain a range of cosmetic items including Operator skins, blueprints, weapon reticles, Calling Cards, and more.
Season One Preparation
Before the new season launches, Treyarch has confirmed that a wave of updates are coming to Black Ops Cold War.
On December 8th, an update that brings a wealth of quality-of-life improvements will go live.
On December 15th, an update for Black Ops Cold War will go live to prepare the game for the new season and on December 16th, an update will go live for Warzone.
