With just a few weeks until the Atlanta Home Series kicks off the 2021 Call of Duty League season, the league has revealed the total amount of prize money that is up for grabs alongside how it will be split throughout the season.
The CDL has confirmed that a total of $5 million will be on the line throughout the season, $1 million less than the 2019 season.

CDL 2021 Prize Money Split
The 2021 season will revolve around a total of five splits, with each one culminating in a Major tournament where all 12 franchises in action. With five Majors taking place across the season, a total of $2.5 million in prize money will be on the line.
Prior to the Majors, three Home Series events will determine the seeding for the Major and will see teams compete for CDL Points as opposed to any prize money.
The prize money breakdown for Majors is as follows:
- 1st place - $200,000
- 2nd place - $120,000
- 3rd place - $80,000
- 4th place - $40,000
- 5th/6th place - $20,000 per team
- 7th/8th place - $10,000 per team
- 9th/10th/11th/12th - $0
The top eight teams from the regular season will qualify for the season-ending playoffs and is where the majority of the prize money is up for grabs.
With $2.5 million on the line, the split is a little different from the Majors given the increased stakes of the CDL Championship.
The Playoffs prize money breakdown is as follows:
- Champion - $1.2 million
- 2nd place - $650,000
- 3rd place - $300,000
- 4th place - $150,000
- 5th/6th place - $75,000 per team
- 7th/8th place - $25,000 per team
CDL Points Breakdown
In every single match during the 2021 season, teams can earn CDL Points.
For every victory earned during a Home Series event, teams can earn 10 points, and for Majors, more CDL Points can be earned.
- 1st place - 75 Points
- 2nd place - 60 Points
- 3rd place - 50 Points
- 4th place - 40 Points
- 5th/6th place - 30 Points per team
- 7th/8th place - 20 Points per team
- 9th/10th place - 10 Points per team
- 11th/12th place - 0 Points
