100Thieves is making a roster adjustment to their League of Legends roster heading into the fifth week of the LCS Spring Split. The team, currently sitting at an impressive shared second place with eight wins and just four losses, is subbing in Australian mid laner Tommy “Ryoma” Le. Tanner "Damonte" Damonte has been benched for the time being.
Though the change might be a surprise to some when looking at the 100Thieves' score, many of those wins were acquired by overcoming an early game hurdle. Damonte had been having a tough time in the early game especially, and it seems that his team is willing to give Ryoma a try to see how he holds up in official games.
Ryoma was 100Thieves' mid laner for the entire duration of the LCS' 2020 season. That year, the team ended fourth in the Spring Split, but could not get further than a disappointing seventh/eighth place in the Summer Split. In November, Ryoma was bumped down a notch to join the 100Thieves Academy team, but it seems like he has impressed his team with his performance there.
It won't be the toughest week for Ryoma to debut in. The toughest opponent for 100Thieves this weekend will be Evil Geniuses, who are just one spot below them. In the second game of the weekend, Ryoma and his colleagues face Golden Guardians, who are at a shared last position in the LCS.
