Ahead of the start of the second Stage of the 2021 Call of Duty League season, the 12 franchises have been drawn into their respective groups.
The three weeks of regular-stage matches will determine the seeding for the Stage Two Major which begins on April 5th.
Find out which teams have been drawn into which group below!
CDL Stage 2 Group A
- Atlanta FaZe
- Los Angeles Thieves
- New York Subliners
- Toronto Ultra
- Los Angeles Guerrillas
- London Royal Ravens
Hot off their Stage One Major victory, the Atlanta FaZe will be looking to consolidate their position at the top of the league table with another wave of regular-stage victories.
The New York Subliners came close to reaching the final, but with a brand-new meta on the horizon, there's an opportunity for them to improve on what was an impressive third-place finish at the Stage One Major.
After a disappointing performance at the Stage One Major, there's work to be done for the LA Thieves, who could well find themselves chasing the top teams if some kind of form isn't found soon.
Despite some impressive showings during Stage One, the Toronto Ultra are the first franchise to make a roster change in the 2021 season. Main assault rifle player Anthony "Methodz" Zinni has been demoted to the bench in favor of substitute Jamie "Insight" Craven.
The LA Guerrillas are another team that showed small glimpses of what they're truly capable of. The talent on the team is certainly there, and Stage Two could be another step forward.
Stage One wasn't the best for the London Royal Ravens for a multitude of reasons. Without a single victory against their name, could Stage Two mark a turning point for the team?
CDL Stage 2 Group B
- Dallas Empire
- OpTic Chicago
- Florida Mutineers
- Paris Legion
- Minnesota ROKKR
- Seattle Surge
In comparison to Group A, there are several teams that could walk away with the top seed for the Major.
Stage One runners-up Dallas will be intent on bouncing back from a lackluster performance in the finals against Atlanta, while the likes of OpTic, Florida, and Minnesota could all be in with a chance of snatching the top spot away from the defending champions.
It wasn't the best start for the Legion or the Surge. With the change in metagame, it could mark the start of an upward turn in performance for Stage Two. These two teams are not to be underestimated.
