Call of Duty League adds Apocalypse and Express into Stage 2 map pool

After a short break, the second stage of the 2021 Call of Duty League (CDL) season is right around the corner.

Stage 2 will feature three Home Series events where all 12 franchises have the chance to earn CDL Points which will be used to determine the seeding for the Stage 2 Major which begins on April 5th.

Before the stage begins, the CDL has revealed that two new maps will be added to the competitive rotation.

Apocalypse

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War

Apocalypse made its debut as part of the launch of Season 2 and will be used in competitive Hardpoint matches.

The map replaces Crossroads Strike which has been removed from the map pool due to the fourth Hardpoint hill being relocated onto the frozen lake in a bid to provide some form of balance to the map.

Express

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War

Express is the second addition to the competitive map pool and will be used in Search & Destroy.

The map previously featured as part of the Black Ops 2 map pool and will join Raid as the second classic Black Ops map to feature in the Black Ops Cold War map pool.

With more classic maps rumored to return in future seasons, could we see even more maps added to the pool? We will have to wait and see.

Apocalypse and Express will be in action starting from the Toronto Home Series which begins on March 18th.
