The event that revealed the PlayStation 5 last year kicked off with the announcement that GTA 5 would be heading to the console, and also to the Xbox X/S — Rockstar Games has finally confirmed a release date for the new-gen version.
The upgrade will come with new features — though Rockstar Games hasn't revealed what those might be yet. The game will definitely look and run better, but who knows what else is in store? We'll likely get more information in the coming months.
For players who are currently on the PS4, if you're subscribed to PlayStation Plus you can claim $1 million in-game from the PlayStation Store at the start of each month — until the game is officially available on the PS5. Players who upgrade will also be treated to some "special benefits".
GTA Online will launch on the same day as the game, and there's an extra perk for PS5 players — you'll be able to play it for free for the first three months after launch. Players who upgrade will also be treated to some "special benefits".
GTA 5 will be available on PS5 and Xbox X/S on November 11.
