G2 Esports is making adjustments to its Rainbow Six Siege roster, putting two new faces in the lineup. Jonas “Jonka” Kaczmarzyk and Lucas “Hungry” Reich don the G2 jersey, while the organisation is benching Juhani “Kantoraketti” Toivonen and Aleksi “UUNO” Työppönen.
The changes come after a disappointing showing for the team at the 2021 Six Invitational, held one month ago. After going 3-6 in the Group Stage of the event, G2 faced swift elimination in the lower bracket of the Playoffs Stage at the hands of Parabellum, ending in the 13th-16th spot.
Jonka is being brought over from MnM Gaming, while Hungry spent the past months competing on Team Vitality. Their first big test on G2 will come next week, when the squad faces off against Virtus.pro in the 2021 European League Season 2.
