Little by little we're being fed news on the next instalment of the long-running FIFA franchise. Although EA Sports has not officially confirmed FIFA 22, the truth is that insiders are filtering information to us thanks to a closed beta.
The FUT Arcade Twitter account suggests a new card coming to the game -- although it's important to take any information with a pinch of salt until the game becomes official.
The insider talks about a new type of card, called "FUT Heroes Club". They describe the new card as similar to Icons, although slightly inferior, since they would not have a green link with all for greater chemistry.
As such, they would be like "Minor Icons", with decent stats, but a notch below the best cards in the game -- which we can of course expect in FIFA 22.
They also dropped two names that could be the first confirmed FIFA 22 "Heroes" -- Joe Cole and Jerzy Dudek. It seems the concept of these cards are footballers who are significant for their time with a certain club. For example, Jerzy Dudek is legendary among Liverpool fans for saving several penalties in their epic Champions League final comeback against AC Milan in Istanbul in 2005.
We hope to hear more details soon, with more on FIFA 22 likely to be officially announced on July 22 during EA Play.
