Since the start of Warzone Season 4, the battle royale has seen a huge increase in the number of cheaters ruining the game for those dropping into Verdansk and Rebirth Island on a regular basis.
Many players are citing the lack of dedicated anti-cheat for the influx, which has seen a number of players decide to stop playing Warzone until Activision and Raven Software starts tackling the problem with more effective methods other than regular ban waves.
Alongside the usual cheats that give players the ability to see through walls and unnatural levels of accuracy, a new cheat has emerged which grants players the ability to call in unlimited UAVs, meaning they can constantly see the location of players.
The discovery comes soon after an unofficial anti-cheat watchdog warned of an increase in cheaters on the console versions of Warzone, thanks to a new system involving a security bypass.
With frustrations growing, the #WarzoneNeedsAntiCheat message trended across Twitter with the community repeatedly asking Activision and Raven Software to increase their efforts in the ongoing battle against cheaters.
This cheat in action shows the location of all players even if they have Ghost equipped, meaning there is no way of evading it.
The lack of anti-cheat in Warzone is causing a hugely negative impact on the popular battle royale and until Activision can get its act together, the issue of cheating within the game will not be going away for the foreseeable future.
Until a sure-fire solution is put in place, Warzone will quickly decline in popularity as players look elsewhere for their fix of battle royale action. Will Warzone have an anti-cheat? We will have to wait and see.
