For the midlane position, we had to use subjective criteria to decide which champion we ranked best.
Technically, Lucian has had more of a presence than LeBlanc throughout the summer season, but while he remains relatively stable, he's just received balance changes that could prove to be unpredictable in Worlds.
As a result, we opted for a League of Legends classic, who has been missing for most of the year. However, LeBlanc returns with a presence of 56% in the summer split.
There are no major changes planned for the midlane over the next few patches, so hopefully the conjurer will play a pivotal role in the biggest League of Legends competition of the year.
Other candidates
The midlane is one of those roles which currently has the greatest variety of champions, and it seems that it will remain that way for the next few months.
