One of the big goals for Riot Games with Valorant throughout their recent updates has been to polish the game systems.
This strategy has affected different areas of the game, with the rank system a priority issue.
The distribution of players along the ranked ladder showed a worrying tendency to group the community in the lower echelons -- something that, after months of requests, the developer is finally ready to tackle.
Rank bug and Riot's next big goal
The next Act will see a major change in player rank, with almost all Ranked Match fans enjoying a boost -- even if their performance doesn't improve at all.
The reason is that the highest brackets of the ladder are practically unpopulated, a situation that generates frustration among players and not at all effective when determining true level.
So, Riot has now shared an update to the ranked system.
With these modifications, the Valorant rank system will have a more similar distribution than normal, so that skill demands would be relaxed to accommodate a greater number of players.
Riot also wanted to give a visual example of what this distribution would look like.
The situation has already improved a bit over the last few updates, but this transformation will be key.
