November's PlayStation Plus games have been unveiled, and it's a varied month. It includes an excellent VR game for owners of Sony's PlayStation VR headset.
Here's a summary of what's on offer.
Knockout City on PS4 and PS5
While it seems to be struggling to find its place in the busy competitive game sector, Knockout City has some good points to make.
The dodgeball-like concept and sufficiently deep and dynamic gameplay should find favor in the eyes of some players.
The EA-published title is already available on Game Pass Ultimate, while a free version offers gameplay up to level 20. However, the version offered with PS Plus is the best opportunity to get into the fray.
Kingdoms of Amalur Rereckoning on PS4
A decent Western RPG that mixes classic ARPG progression with some subtleties in your hero's progression.
Far from leading the genre, Kingdoms of Amalur is lackluster at times. However, it offers an adventure that is still fun to play, and it's an ideal game for the long winter evenings to come.
Other Games (PS4, PS5, PSVR)
- First Class Trouble on PS4 and PS5: In this party game, players must find the impostor capable of sabotaging their mission, Among Us-style.
- The Persistence on PSVR: A horrific FPS that is somewhat reminiscent of Dead Space in aesthetics, with original futuristic weapons.
- The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners on PSVR: Another zombie game, but one we highly recommend.
