A brand new trailer was revealed for Senua's Saga: Hellblade II was released at The Game Awards 2021, a terrifying sequence showing a battle against a giant humanoid.
Developed by Ninja Theory and published by Xbox Game Studios, viewers may have been mistaken in thinking this was a cinematic trailer - but it was in fact a gameplay trailer.
No release date was given for Hellblade 2, but it appears the title has been in development for some time. However, we wouldn't presume to say when the game will be released.
Hellblade is the story of Senua, a Pict warrior who sets out on a journey to Helheim, wishing to bring back the soul of her lover, Dillion. As the game progresses, we realize that Senua is subject to auditory hallucinations called "Furies".
These act as a guide for the young warrior, one even being aware of the player's presence and then taking the role of narrator as Senua descends into psychosis.
