Originally revealed back in June, A Plague Tale: Requiem got a gameplay trailer at The Game Awards 2021.
In the video, we can already see that Amicia has changed considerably. She appears to be doing a lot more in terms of being a protective sister towards her little brother. However, she appears to be overwhelmed by doubts.
On the other hand, one has the impression that Hugo's power is gnawing at him. At the end of the trailer, images show what could be the genesis of the Prima Macula, but nothing was formally confirmed in the trailer.
When it comes to the gameplay phases we can see new features that energize the combat, in particular the crossbow and naval battles. Discretion in the stealth phases and the management of rats are still the order of the day.
As stated by Asobo Studio and Focus Entertainment, this new chapter focuses on the price one needs to pay to save those they love, in a desperate struggle for survival.
A Plague Tale Requiem is pencilled in for a 2022 release on Xbox Series X|S and PC, with day one availability on Xbox Game Pass for Console, PC and Cloud.
