Pokémon GO Fest 2022 has just been announced!

A highly anticipated event each year due to its scale and the set of rewards it can offer players, the Pokémon GO Fest 2022 has just been officially announced. For the moment, we only know its dates and the places where it will take place but new information should be communicated in the weeks to come.

Pokémon GO Fest 2022 Dates and Locations

This year, the global event will last two full days and will take place from Saturday June 4th to Sunday June 5th, 2022. As an added bonus, a final bonus event will take place on Saturday August 27th, 2022. With its “global” designation, this means that the Pokémon GO Fest 2022 will take place in an online version, like the previous two years, so that all players can enjoy it from home.

On the other hand, this year also marks the return of the event in physics in three different places:

  • From Friday, July 1, 2022 to Sunday, July 3, 2022: Berlin, Germany
  • From Friday, July 22, 2022 to Sunday, July 24, 2022: Seattle, WA, United States
  • From Friday August 5, 2022 to Sunday August 7, 2022: Sapporo, Japan

Pokémon GO Fest 2022: What's on the program?

It was in 2019, in Dortmund, that the very first major Pokémon GO festival took place. We had also been invited there and had been able to enjoy the sumptuous landscapes on site as well as a multitude of activities to carry out in-game. Of course, the event requires a paid ticket (the price will be communicated later) but some features are free for all players.

In general, the Pokémon GO Fest is divided into several slots during the day, each dedicated to very specific types of Pokémon. The creatures in question then have a higher spawn rate but also a much higher chance of being shiny. It is also an opportunity to capture rare Pokémon such as Unowns or even regional monsters such as Relicanth or even Pijako. There are more Raids, and at the end of the event, a Mythical Pokémon is very often unlocked.
