New League of Legends champions often need a few tweaks to fit right into Summoner's Rift. Zeri is no exception, and all of her skills will undergo changes in the near future.

Future changes to Zeri could impact her gameplay

The wave of changes continues on the League of Legends PBE ahead of Patch 12.7. Very big adjustments are planned by Riot Games for Wukong, but also for one of the most recent champions. Zeri will experience some significant changes in the near future. The magnitude of the tweaks is so great that all of his abilities except his passive will undergo some tweaking.

All Zeri Changes on PBE

Please note that these changes are only those currently LIVE on the PbE, but it is not certain that Zeri will keep all of them in the future patch . However, they still give a fairly clear idea of the direction Riot Games wants to take for the latest ADC to arrive in the game.

Q

Base damage reduced from 10-30 to 6-10

The AD ratio would drop from 110% to 110-120%

Slow increased from 14-50% to 18-50%

W

Base damage reduced from 40-180 to 10-150

AD ratio increased from 100% to 120%

AP rate increased from 60% to 70%

E

Cooldown reduction is again dependent on Q critical hits.

R

Additional overloads will be gained through Q critical hits.

Expected in-game impact

What we can see here is a change in how champion skills are modded. Instead of relying on a Trinity Force nerf and reducing her potency as a mobile ADC less reliant on self-attacks interspersed with spellcasting, Riot Games seems to be looking to bring Zeri closer to the archetype. classic shooters. This theory can be brought up, because it is Zeri's base damage that is nerfed, not her actual potential. The goal is to make it more item-dependent, like most ADCs. Then the planned changes to E and R may make the critical stat more important for Zeri, when it was not necessarily his priority.

If the changes do not seem to have too much impact on her gameplay in depth, the fact of having to favor the critical hit statistic risks indirectly nerfing the champion. Items that boost this stat often grant less bonus movement speed, which might prevent Zeri from being a real soap. On paper, these modifications seem interesting, even if it is a shame to go back to a critical build for an ADC again.

Remember that these adjustments, if they are not modified these days, will arrive on the game server next week, more precisely on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday in France. It will be interesting to see the impact of these changes on the competitive scene, where Zeri had managed to make a small place for herself.
