Earlier this year, Riot Games presented its plans for Skins and Themes coming to League of Legends in 2022. Several projects were presented. The first is to modernize some old champions to bring them up to date (Orianna, for example, will receive a visual update with the next patch).
Of course, the most important thing for the studio is to release many new appearances during the season. Bee skins have already made a comeback, Arcane skins are returning with cycle 12.7, and the studio has also introduced a new family, Anima Squad. However, there are still many months before the end of the year, and we already know which families will return to the Rift incluing Star Guardian.
A legendary skin for Kai'Sa?
The Star Guardian family of skins first appeared with Star Guardian Lux in 2015 . The skin has met with some success, to the point where the Lady of Light was joined by new Star Guardians in 2016 but also in 2017. In November 2018, a new set of Star Guardian skins...in pajamas was born, and finally, in 2019, we are treated to the fallen versions of the Star Guardians (Zoe, Rakan and Xayah). It is therefore not really surprising that Riot Games has decided to bring this great family back to the fore.
According to YouTuber Ryscu, Kai'Sa is set to receive a Star Guardian skin this year, which is expected to arrive with patch 12.13 (July 13).
As you can see in the video, the animations are buggy, as this is apparently a Legendary skin, with different special effects. If the appearance does indeed make it to the game, it will receive some fixes, and it will likely look quite different from what it is right now.
Also according to Ryscu, a "big event" will arrive on League of Legends in July , at the same time as the skin. Even if we would like to return to PvE Invasion mode, hopes are low. Riot Games said it was a one shot, but we have the right to dream.
