Sunday, April 17 was an all-around normal day for Boston airport staff, as well as the many travelers. Normal, until one of the Terminal A security guards makes a surprising discovery: a bomb is found in one of the suitcases of a Delta passenger.
A bomb ?!
It was when the suitcase was x-rayed that the airport employees made this frightening discovery. Immediately, the entire terminal was evacuated in a hurry. Screams of panic were heard and the crowd quickly moved outside. Terminal A being the main one at Boston airport, dozens of flights were paralyzed for some time.
A Twitter user by the name of BattleBornLV filmed the evacuation from the airport , and you can watch the crowds of people heading outside, amid overall uncertainty.
Passengers on planes were even forced to disembark so that airport security teams could carry out their inspection. The demining team was called around four o'clock in the afternoon, to finally discover that the suspicious object in question was in fact… a PlayStation !
A PlayStation that evacuates an airport
According to Massachusetts police teams, the console was in a deplorable state. It was even difficult to identify what type of PlayStation it was. Sony's console was badly damaged, which caused anomalies in its x-ray scan, jamming the security machinery.
Unfortunately, the authorities have not revealed photos of the PlayStation in question, so we can imagine a console in poor condition and we especially wonder why its owner saw fit to move with it rather than throw it away. . Because indeed, the components of the console were, for the most part, unusable .
More fear than harm therefore for Boston airport and its occupants, who suffered from a small flight delay and a fairly intense stress attack. All because of a PlayStation!
